TREATMENT
PHILOSOPHY
Alcoholism and other drug addiction, or chemical dependency, is a devastating primary disease involving the body, mind, and spirit. Marked by loss of control over use and behavior, the occurrence of chemical dependency is influenced by genetic, biological, psychological and environmental factors. The goal of our treatment is to provide our patients with the tools to establish a lifestyle of abstinence, personal responsibility and productivity. Individualized treatment plans and lengths of stay vary based on the patient's need in accordance with the guidelines of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Evergreen Manor creates individualized services for patients, including those with emotional issues, physical challenges, and opiate substitution programs.
Research has documented that recovery is enhanced by active involvement in self-help groups. As part of our services, patients are introduced to 12-step programs and principles, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Al-Anon, and similar self-help groups. We also offer education and counseling for family members.
Evergreen Manor is a smoke-free agency.
